OpenMBTA is a free open source mobile app which provides transit schedule information for the Boston MBTA metro system. When available, real time schedule will be presented, highlighting the closest stop to your current location. Recent changes: Disables GPS when app is not being used. Able to be installed on SD card. - In order to switch GPS off after using it, I have to manually force close the app. Otherwise GPS signal keeps searching and draining my battery.

- Incomplete Handles spurs poorly, which makes it useless for anyone on the Red or Green Lines.

- Clear and easy to use So much better than the other transit apps I've tried. Nice bookmark system to save your frequently used routes, Schedule display is easy to read. Needing improvement: Menu: home button, quick access to bookmarks from anywhere Route selection: sort by stops/routes near me Map: double tap to zoom Widget: needs one
